Best way to learn mastercam X
Hi, I have new career opportunities from cnc miller to cnc programer, but one thing I need is good and cheap(free) learning resources. Where to find torrents, video, books, best videos in youtube, and forum to ask questions, and etc.? I really wanna learn this cool software for 3-4 axis milling centers, in future maybe 5 axis. Need help, thanks

Find out who your local reseller is and request a copy of the Home Learning Edition. It cannot post code or save files that open in a normal license, but it is fully featured for learning how to use the software.

Yep Home Learning Edition and buy the tutorial books and go through them, then buy a blueprint reading book and draw and program the parts. Then you will know the basics and be able to at least do things when you get a job doing it. Play around with all the boxes on the toolpath paramaters pages and leanr what they do.

Go to In-House Solutions - CAD/CAM, DNC, Portable CMM and Robotic Software Solutions and order Mastercam X6 Mill Level 1 training tutorial to start. It has step by step directions for drawing and machining practice parts. They also have training tutorials on Mill Level 3, Multi-Axis, and Mastercam Art, to name a few.

Check out this youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/stikkshere He mostly covers cnc programming by hand, but he does have some mastercam videos. I recently got an internship where I was required to program some machines with mastercam. I gotta say, the learning curve is steep! The worst part is that there are very few free resources for learning mastercam. Really, the best way to learn is to take some training classes from your regional reseller, or if possible a local college. That said, there are some places to learn online, but make sure that you have a copy of HLE installed! You will not learn very much if you aren't practicing. Good luck!

YouTube will be your best bet.
There are also downloads on the Mastercam website.
If you're familiar with V9 at all, X is a little different as it uses icons.

There is any good book, which cover 2-3D modeling and machining, some wire, and 4-5 axis basics, lathe. I only find one topic books, like 2D, 3D everything is separately. Maybe somebody can send some books for me to PM if have?
