Time management games are not for everyone, but they have quite the dedicated audience out there, so they are going to keep on being around for a long time. However, that’s not to say that they are not fun and addictive, just that they can get boring after a while, at least if they are not designed properly. Hence, it is possible to make the fun last, as long as the gameplay keeps evolving over the course of the game.

Take care of an entire farm on your own

Farm Frenzy 2 is the sequel to a pretty successful first part, and it continues from where that one left off. In essence, the changes include a few new animal additions and quite the selection of new gameplay mechanics, which means that the experience might not be exactly the same as in the original. On the other hand, fans of the franchise should feel right at home from the first few clicks.

The story hasn’t changed too much either, because you still have the same goal: restore a farm to its former glory, and make as much money from it as possible. In order to achieve that, you must grow animals and sell the goods they provide you with, including milk, eggs and things like that. The selling part is easy, but it’s quite difficult to raise the animals and keep them safe until they are able to produce what you need.

Protect the farm from predators and coordinate your actions

Just like in every other time management game, speed is very important when it comes to the gameplay. As such, you need to split your attention between feeding the animals, collecting the fresh milk/eggs they leave behind, as well as protecting them from wild bears. It is also possible to purchase trained dogs to do that for you, although you obviously need to pay additional coin on them.

Speaking of which, there are a variety of upgrades you can purchase at the shop, most of which are required in order to advance. As such, certain buildings allow you to process the goods into more refined products, such as milk into cheese, or powdered eggs into baking soda. By doing so, you have the opportunity to sell your products at much higher prices, which should make the investment worth the bother.

A demanding experience for hardcore time management fans

When it’s all said and done, Farm Frenzy 2 is certainly a step forward for the franchise, and it includes many improvements over the previous release. However, the difficulty level is still quite high, so maybe novices might need a bit of time to get accustomed to the gameplay.
