I have been looking for about an hour to try and find out where to download the public test realm and I don't know what to go to. I have clicked the link for the download in the download client page but it just takes me to the media page and I can't find any other information about it. What do I do??

There is no PTR right now. It's only active when they have a new patch they need content tested with.

I got some in game mail saying I was randomely selected to help test out the PTR. How can I respond to this mail? It gives me the site but the link doesnt work (i've tried to make it work beleive me) and like you said the PTR is not even up right. Its giving me 12 hrs to respond buy I cant obviously
Caus, what you received in game is a phishing email. Blizzard will never ask you to test out the PTR in a private mail in game. You will want to open up that mail and do a Report Spam. The website that you're trying to go to, is where this malicious third party is wanting you to basically hand your user information over to them.

ok i copied over 2 character over to the PTR and when i click download client it just brings me to the media page i always thought that if the character copys were up the client was up.

For one thing, the PTR realms aren't linked to the live realms in any way, so it's physically impossible.

There currently isn't a PTR running.
No PTR running, you can't download and do anything with it.

LOL? It's really easy to download it, well I'm not really sure but I just launch wow and on the news screen go under the tab and click on public test realm than download, really simple
